"Free"

A Versatile motorsailer that is at home equally at sea or on rivers.

She has sailed many single-handed sea miles in the Mediterranean as well as crossing France and Belgium by canal. Her large, trustworthy Perkins diesel has never let her down in all weathers.

'Free' relishes anything the sea can throw at her and is a very dry boat with her full wheelhouse, raised foredeck and canoe stern. She sails well on the reach has a large roller furled genoa that aids her when running and an in-mast furling system for the main sail. The owner added a second forestay and brand new hood staysail, which has hardly been used. Inland, 'Free' has a mast on a tabernacle that can be lowered with a stainless steel A-frame. This can be done by one person and can be slid forward on teflon rollers and safely stowed. She has cruised many miles throughout Europe with her mast down.

Down below she is warm and cosy with an economical Lockgate diesel drip feed enclosed heater that feeds three wet radiators throughout the boat. The owner has spent three winters afloat with no problem and there is also a Faversham Coal fired cabin heater and portable paraffin heater to offer all combinations of heating.

The owner cooks with an Origo twin burner alcohol stove but the pipework is present for a gas cooker if required.
